TCS Cellworks

TCS Cellworks specialises in the culture of (predominantly) human cells in conditions and configurations which maintain their in vivo functionality and are therefore of the greatest use in programmes of:

  • Cell biology research
  • Drug discovery
  • Drug metabolism
  • In vitro toxicology

We offer you:

1) Human and Animal Primary Cells

Click on the headings below to view our offering:

2) Early Passage Cells - a cost effective alternative

To complement our range of primary cells, TCS Cellworks is now offering a range of early passage cells at a 45% cost saving over comparable P1 Cells. Three different early passage cells are ready for shipment today:

3) Angiogeneisis assays – end point assay, kinetic assay and real time assays.

The TCS AngioKit™ is a human multicellular in vitro model of angiogenesis. This model accurately reproduces the different phases of the angiogenesis process using a co-culture of human endothelial cells with other human cell types in a specially developed medium. This AngioKit™ is the first plate based human model of angiogenesis to include all the known phases of the angiogenic process and is perfectly optimized for high content screening studies. Find out more about the TCS Kit here

Visit the TCS Angiogenesis mini web site for further information on Angiogenesis. Find details of relevant conferences, publications, news and events and scientific societies.

4) Cell Culture Media, supplements and reagents

5) We also run a range of human cell-based assay systems as a contract service.

The V2a kit - From Vascularisation to Angiogenesis. Analyse compounds for their effect on all aspects of the angiogenic pathway: Cell Activation, Cell proliferation, Migration, Elongation, Anastomosis. For further kit details and launch information please contact us

The GFP-angiokit - Kinetic Analysis of Angiogenesis. The IncuCyteFLR from Essen instruments enables time-lapse imaging of live cell fluorescent reporters such as GFP. This makes the systems ideal for monitoring processes that require hours or days to complete such as the formation of tubules in the TCS Cellworks Angiogenesis assay. Using this approach it is now possible to monitor and determine the specific effects of individual compounds and of sequential dosing to the angiogenic process in real time over the entire 10-14 day assay period. For further kit details and launch information please contact us .
