Innovative Solution for Hematopoietic Stem Cells/Progenitor Cells (HSCs/HPCs) Expansion

The NANEX™ Stem Cell Expansion System is designed for the efficient ex vivo expansion of hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) and progenitor cells (HPCs) derived from human bone marrow and umbilical cord blood. The NANEX™ cell culture substrate is a biofunctional nanofiber-based 3D scaffold that partially mimics the bone marrow stem cell niche. When used in combination with serum-free medium and a cocktail of growth factors, NANEX™ scaffold can facilitate the proliferation of HSCs/HPCs without significant loss of the stem cell phenotype. NANEX™ HSC Expansion Kit is the first and only product on the market that can expand HSCs and HPCs with superior performance and consistency.

The NANEX™ Hematopoietic Stem Cell Expansion Kit is designed specifically for the ex vivo expansion of HSCs. The kit is optimized and designed to be able to harvest over 10 million HSCs (CD34+ cells) through a 10-day serum free culture (less than 100,000 cells). This not only provides significant cost saving for your lab, but also makes it possible to use the cells from a single donor for multiple experiments, assisting both of the research in basic sciences as well as translational research.

NANEX™ Technology Overview

With a biofunctional nanofiber-based surface, NANEX™ is designed to partially mimic the bone marrow environment. In order to expand stem cells the biofunctional surface, together with the surface topography structure, facilitates and promotes rapid in vivo-like cell growth and expansion.

Arteriocyte Product

  1. NANEX™ fibres under scanning electron microscope (SEM). Typically the fibre diameter ranges from 300nm to 800nm.
  2. Structure of bone marrow matrix.
  3. 5000X and (d) 10,000X SEM images of Hematopoietic Stem Cells (HSCs) growing on top of the NANEX™ surface.

Experimental and clinical procedures involving stem cells are challenging because of the sparse population of stem cells available in adult tissues. In addition, it has been well documented that cells cultured on 2D culture surface does not mimic the in vivo growth. Arteriocyte's NANEX™ technology is developed to address such challenges.
