Angiogenesis is the multi-step physiological process by which new blood vessels are formed. The process plays a number of key roles in human health and disease, from wound healing and psoriasis to tumour development and progression. Understanding and modeling angiogenesis is therefore a key requirement for progress in a range of important therapeutic areas.

TCS Cellworks has extensive experience in modeling angiogenesis in vitro for research and drug discovery applications. AngioKit™ is the first microplate based truly human model of angiogenesis that includes all known stages of the angiogenic process. The system has been highly characterised, and optimised for quantitative high content and high throughput screening studies.

The purpose of these web pages is to provide technical support to scientists using AngioKit™, and to act as a general information resource for anyone working in the field of angiogenesis research.
